Flanagan High School’s color guard is preparing to head to Ohio for a big competition after doing their final run through Monday.
While practicing, members were waving vibrant flags and ribbons in the air as they danced in sync.
The team is one of five local schools competing in the WGI Color Guard Word Championships this week.
“Having the kids grow and having the team grow year after year, and having them come here and share the love with everybody and their friends and have the same experiences that I did is everything that I ever wanted,” said Flanagan Color Guard Director Nicholas Rodriguez.
The other schools competing on Thursday are Cooper City High School, West Broward High School, Somerset Academy, FIU Pegasus World and Doral Academy Preparatory School.
