NY parents push lawmakers to back Hochul’s smartphone ban over fears Dems watering it down: ‘Must not take the wrong path’

Parent advocates are making an 11th hour push to urge state lawmakers to back Gov. Kathy Hochul’s proposed statewide “bell-to-bell” ban on the use of smartphones in schools, and not leave the decision to the local school districts who might back off a full-day prohibition.
