As kids across South Florida soak up the last few weeks of summer, several businesses and organizations have planned events to give many students some much-needed back to school supplies.

- Florida Blue’s “Fuel Your Future” Back to School event:

- Several Verizon retailers owned by Round Room LLC, will give away free backpacks during the 13th annual “School Rocks Backpack Giveaway” on Sunday, July 27, beginning at 1 p.m. at the following locations:
