Va. Gov.-elect Abigail Spanberger warns Dems not to prolong record-breaking shutdown

Virginia Gov.-elect Abigail Spanberger (D) urged all members of Congress to reopen the government “immediately” and warned that Democrats’ electoral triumphs last week shouldn’t be seen as an excuse to prolong the shutdown scrum, while New Jersey Gov.-elect Mikie Sherrill (D) argued that it’s “really important that we keep up that fight.”
